Weakly Picard mappings
In this paper we generalize the well known converse to the contraction principle due to C. Bessaga, dropping the uniqueness of the fixed point from its hypotheses. Some properties of weakly Picard mappings are given.
متن کاملA Remark on Absolutely Summing Multilinear Mappings *
In this note we obtain new coincidence theorems for absolutely summing multilinear mappings between Banach spaces. We also prove that our results, in general, can not be improved.
متن کاملConstructive Compact Linear Mappings
In this paper, we deal with compact linear mappings of a normed linear space, within the framework of Bishop's constructive mathematics. We prove the constructive substitutes for the classically well-known theorems on compact linear mappings: T is compact if and only if T* is compact; if S is bounded and if T is compact, then TS is compact; if S and T is compact, then S+ T is compact.
متن کاملWeakly Compact #?-algebras
1. A complex Banach algebra A is a compact (weakly compact) algebra if its left and right regular representations consist of compact (weakly compact) operators. Let E be any subset of A and denote by Ei and Er the left and right annihilators of E. A is an annihilator algebra if A¡= (0) —Ar, Ir^{fS) for each proper closed left ideal / and Ji t¿ (0) for each proper closed right ideal /. In [6, Th...
متن کاملCommon Fixed Point Theorems for Strict Occasionally Weakly Compatible Mappings in Compact Metric Spaces
We prove a common fixed point theorem for four two pairs of hybrid mappings in compact metric space satisfying an implicit relations using the concept of strict occasionally weak compatibility which generalize theorems of [1, 4, 7, 28]. As an application we obtain a general fixed point theorem for hybrid pairs satisfying a contractive condition of integral type, which is a new result in compact...
